With some sadness and after much deliberation we decided we will not be having our race this year. We are taking this year off.
If you would like to help with organizing next year please contact us.
Our current board started 15 years ago with many people and we have dwindled down to three.
Many hands make light work.😁
We have great appreciation and admiration for all who help us every year on race day! There are so many of you!
We just need more help in the preceding months.

The Neches River Runners is a non profit organization dedicated to conservation and education which has as its primary activity the organization and staging of the Neches River Wilderness Canoe Race, the annual fund raiser and community event for the special needs scholarship fund at the Trinity Valley Community College.

Over the past 32 years the Neches Wilderness Canoe Race have raise funds in excess of $35,000 and have provided over 100+ scholarships to deserving students. The scholarship program benefits a variety of students with special needs including returning adults, single parents, veterans, and recent high school graduates.
